This year’s poster features a drawing by local Broken Hill artist, Wayne Williams. Located in Harris Street, Wayne has always drawn horses and was thrilled when asked to do a drawing for this year’s St Pat’s Race Poster.
Wanting to give the drawing a local flavour, Wayne visited long time horse trainer Barry Murray at his Silverton stables where he drew Barry reading the paper to “Triumphant One”, a local horse who has been a previous St Pat’s race winner.
The St Patrick’s Committee are extremely happy with the drawing which will help promote this year’s race meeting on posters and brochures throughout Broken Hill and beyond.
